Astro Duel Deluxe review

Astro Duel Deluxe is a fun retro party game the whole family can enjoy. This game always has me coming back for more retro space shooting action. With 10 hours played, I can definitely say that that statement is true for myself.

The game features multiple different gamemodes, multiple different characters, a range of power ups, and a whole load of gameplay options for everyone. The game also features local multiplayer with a variety of different play styles so that you can play with family and friends.

The gamemodes include, Ship Hunters, Pilot Hunters (My favorite), Team Deathmatch, & Team Annihilation. These gamemodes allow you to experience this space shooter in a multitude of different ways. Ship Hunters lets you blast other ships, In Pilot Hunters you fire at ships and then try to shoot up the pilots before they respawn inside of their ship, Team Deathmatch let's you do 2vs2 ship battles with a CPU, and Team Annihilation let's you kill the opposing teams pilots similar to the 2v2 deathmatch mode.

The game also features powerups that help you out in your space battle, items such as the missile, the laser beam, the jouster, the reflector, the shield, the proximity mine, and the scatter shot spawn randomly around the gameplay map or come from shooting meteorites.

Although the controls take a bit of getting used to, don't let this shy you away from playing this awesome retro game. As said earlier, it's fun for the entire family that's definitely worth the price.

Stay tuned for an exclusive interview with the games publisher (Panic Button) and the games lead developer from Wild Rooster Rusty.
